Tonight’s card is set to take place in Rio with all fighters having made weight save for Anthony “Rumble” Johnson. Johnson weighed in at 197–a full 12 lbs over the 185 lbs limit. According to inside sources, Rumble began the weight cut yesterday morning at 191, got within a pound an half of 185, then became ill and lost feeling in his legs. The doctor onsite ordered him to hydrate which brought him back up to nearly 200 pounds. Vitor has accepted the fight at catch weight on the condition that Johnson weigh in at no greater than 205. This is a smart play from Vitor’s camp as Vitor will most likely rehydrate at close to 220 lbs, which under normal circumstances Johnson would have as well. Subsequently Vitor will be facing a dehydrated, potentially ill 205er in Johnson, as opposed to a normally bigger man that could easily be fighting at light heavyweight. This news brought to you by the premier MMA analyst of our generation, Josh Fiore. There are other nameless members of the Savvy team, and they all followed in Dr. Fiore’s footsteps with tonight’s picks.
Jose Aldo
Vitor Belfort
Rousimar Palhares
Erick Silva
Edson Barboza
Recent addition to the Savvy analyst team and soon to be #1 in the world, Josh Fiore has provided perfect picks for tonight’s Strikeforce middleweight championship card. The other Savvy analysts have copied his picks.

So it’s been a few weeks since the Savvy Pros have laid down picks, and I’ve been chomping at the bit. The original master was able to take two fights back from the lowly Kyle Cadman during the last card, which was not surprising. We all knew his reign would be short lived. Unfortunately our picks are the same for the TUF finale, so his lead will have to endure for now. Look below for the Savvy picks….
Ari Weiss and Kyle Cadman
Michael Bisping
Diego Brandao
T.J. Dillashaw
Tony Ferguson

Junior Dos Santos stormed into Anaheim and shocked the world by knocking out the title holder Cain Valaquez in the very first round. Although my cohorts picked Cain, I was smart enough to take the dangerous Brazilian. That remarkable pick put me back in a second place tie with the Scoundrel Rafael Perez, and has left me in a nice position to make a run at the current Champ Kyle Cadman. Congrats to JDS, but he better prepare for Alistair or Brock. The heavyweight division is loaded baby.
